Kindergarten Graduation
Nate graduated from Kindergarten last week and we are so proud of him. He has grown and learned so much this past year. I can't believe my baby is going to 1st grade! Nate is such an important part of our family. His smile can make any ones heart happy!
Arrow of Light and Boy Scouts
Last Wednesday Billy earned his Arrow of Light and graduated into Boy Scouts. We are so proud of all his hard work and dedication to Scouts. We know that he will have lots of fun in Boy Scouts. We love you Billy! Good Job!

Idaho, Wrestling & Haircuts...oh my
As I said in my last post, Dean took Billy to Idaho for a week for the U.S. Regional Wrestling Championships. Apparently they had some real male bonding time that us females will never understand. First off, I want to say how much I do love my husband. I wanted to make that clear, because by the end of this post you may not think that. When they got to Idaho, Billy had to weigh in and he was signed up to wrestle the 65 lb. weight class. Well he was a couple of pounds over that so Dean made him run around the track for a couple of hours to break a sweat and lose some lbs. He only had 10 minutes left until weigh-ins closed and Billy was still a couple of ounces off where he needed to be. So, my brilliant husband and my equally brilliant son had the great idea to start cutting Billy's hair to lose a couple of ounces. I now have a child that came home looking like this:

Dean and Billy think it looks great because this is after Dean took the clippers to it and cleaned it up. For a few hours, my child apparently looked like a 2 year old gave him a haircut, which makes me so glad I don't live in Idaho and don't know anybody that witnessed their finest hour. Billy is adament that he loves his new look and wants to keep it. Being the meanest mom ever, I told him that he will NOT go to church tomorrow looking like that. He insists that now he is over the age of 8 he can make his own good choices. Go figure. So, we will see if I will have a non -active 10 year old or if I can buzz his hair tonight while he is sleeping. Wish me luck.
P.S. By the way, Billy did quite well in his Free-Style class. He tied for 9th out of about 40 kids. Good Job Kojak!!

Happy Father's Day

Just wanted to tell Dean how much I love him and what a great dad he is. I didn't get to spend Father's Day with him because he is in Idaho with Billy for a week long wrestling tournament. That is a great example of the things Dean does for his kids. He always has time for them and for the things they want to experience. We love you Dean!!

A Day At the Zoo with Nate
Yesterday I met Nate's Kindergarten class at the Zoo. Their class left early to go back to school and I was able to spend the day with just Nate. It rained most of the time, but we had a blast! It was so much fun to have one on one time with just one of the kids. I think it is easy to forget to do that sometimes. I can't believe my baby is going into 1st Grade at the end of next month! They grow up way too fast. I love you Nate!!
